All returns must have a prior approval from our customer service department (Please review our Return Guidelines). To obtain an RMA number you may call our customer service department directly at 1-888-704-0404. Once approved, we will assign you an RMA number. The number is valid for 15 days, so please return the product promptly.
Merchandise returns are typically an emotional situation. Legend will make every reasonable effort to accommodate your return requests and attempt to “ease the pain” however, as in any business certain guidelines must apply. End-of-life or non-standard merchandise are not eligible for product returns. Defective products returned incomplete or not returned in the original packaging will be assessed a charge for missing items. Be sure to include all accessories, cables, software and manuals. Items quoted as non-cancelable, non-returnable are only eligible for return if the product is defective.
All returns must be made within 30 days from original invoice date and have prior approval from our customer service department. Unfortunately after 30 days, we can no longer accept a product for return even if factory sealed. Returns after 30 days will not be accepted. Please have the following information available:
- Invoice / Order Number
- Manufacturer Part Number
- Serial Number if applicable
- Reason for Return
Once approved, we will assign you an RMA number. This number is valid for 15 days, so please return the merchandise promptly. Please review the shipping guidelines before you return the merchandise.
Once merchandise has been opened it is considered “used equipment” and therefore cannot be resold by Legend as new. Complicating this issue, each circumstance is unique and therefore must be reviewed on an individual basis. If Legend approves the return request, a re-stocking fee will be based upon the financial burden Legend incurs in repositioning the inventory. Costs incurred are warranty restrictions, manufacturers repackaging, testing, certification fees and all other financial costs related to inventory write-down. (“new to used” or “new to refurbished”)
DOA / Defective Returns
Defective returns are Products purchased from Legend that are inoperable or do not function in accordance with the specifications published by the manufacturer and are covered by the manufacturers published warranty. Products that are inoperable upon initial use are usually eligible for return within 30 days from receipt date. Returns of certain products need to be made directly through the manufacturer as dictated to us by the manufacturer. Our Customer Service Department will advise you of the return instructions for your product once we receive your RMA application form. We will make every reasonable effort to exchange, repair or credit defective products. When contacting us to return a DOA product, please provide us with contact information of the person you spoke with at the manufacture who determined the product is DOA. There may be isolated situations where certain manufactures limit the return time frame after purchase or would prefer to handle the DOA directly with you. Defective products returned incomplete or not returned in the original packaging will be assessed a charge for missing items. Be sure to include all accessories, cables, software and manuals.
- Use the original manufacturer’s boxes and packaging. Items being returned must be in the original packaging, in new condition with all accessories, cables, software and manuals that were provided. Incomplete items will be sent back to the customer. No credit will be issued
- All returns MUST include a Return Merchandise Authorization Number (RMA#). Without this number, we can not accept the merchandise back to the warehouse.
- Put RMA number on the shipping label
- Do not write address or RMA number on the box- Please use the label
- Remember – Be sure to include all accessories, cables, software and manuals
- Remember- RMA numbers are only valid for 15 days.
Returned merchandise is the responsibility of the customer – Please ship insured. It is strongly suggested that you the customer return the product insured and with a carrier that can provide you with a tracking number. This is a must for verification purposes. Returned merchandise is the responsibility of the customer. Legend will not be responsible for any damage or lost packages during shipping. All shipping expenses to be paid by customer. Legend reserves the right to return any open product to the customer if the RMA number issued is for a Factory Sealed product. All incomplete items or information that does not match the RMA form will be returned back to the customer.
